"Tipton High School"

Tipton, Iowa

Representing a pioneering legacy in education, a monument to the first free public school west of the Mississippi stands in front of Tipton's present day high school. The Old Tipton Union School opened in 1856, just ten years after Iowa gained statehood, and was the first to provide a free education for community children on the then frontier. It was just the first of many significant influences the town would have on education in Iowa and beyond. In the 1920's Tipton would consolidate with surrounding country schools, becoming the largest consolidated school district in the state at the time. This effort was led by Superintendent Jane McCormick (an 1895 Tipton graduate and trailblazer in her own right, as a woman in her position in that era) and was said to be the model for consolidation that reshaped education across the state.

The Tipton Community School District continues to be a tremendous source of local pride to this day. Filled with the latest generation of young scholars and incredibly gifted and caring teachers and staff, our highly valued tradition of education carries on.

Museum-Grade Lumachrome HD Acrylic Artwork

The pinnacle of luxury in fine art photography, Lumachrome HD Acrylic prints are stunning handcrafted masterpieces of impeccable beauty found in top galleries and art museums worldwide. Prized by collectors for vibrant color, stunning detail and lifelike appearance, these pieces awe viewers with the impression that they might step right into the scene. Such dimensionality is achieved by placing a transparency of the image containing rare, light capturing iridium particles over a pure white base layer, then face mounting it to optically clear, scratch resistant acrylic glass. As light falls on the artwork this creates an almost backlit effect, giving the photo incredible depth and vitality. Lumachrome HD Acrylics come ready for display with protective backing and a rear Italian ROMA float mount support. While additional framing is not necessary, it is an option and matter of personal taste. If this might be of interest, please inquire for pricing prior to placing your order.

Chromaluxe Fine Art Metal Prints

With brilliant color, incredible clarity and durability, Chromaluxe Metal Prints offer an outstanding alternative for those seeking to invest in fine art with a more budget friendly option. These works are created through a process called dye sublimation, in which the photograph is printed on a transfer sheet then infused into a specially coated aluminum substrate. Extreme heat is used to temporarily turn the archival ink to gas, allowing it to be pressed directly into the surface of the aluminum. This results in a remarkably sharp image of almost 3D quality, and vivid colors that absolutely pop. Chromaluxe Metals are definitely eye catchers, and sure to add a pleasingly lively aesthetic to your business or home. Additionally, these prints are noted for their resilience. They are waterproof, scratch and fade resistant, and will last generations under proper care. The piece is lightweight and comes with a rear float mount and metal hanger, ready for display with no additional framing required.

Fuji Silver Halide Fine Art Loose Prints

For those who appreciate a more classical presentation, Fuji Silver Halide Fine Art prints are time honored favorites born from a mix of modern technology and traditional photographic technique. Unlike inkjet products as you would find from budget print shops, these works are created using a chromogenic process through which high-tech lasers replicate the digital image by exposing light sensitive silver halide crystals embedded in specialty fine art paper. The result is a striking archival photo with amazing definition and gorgeous color tone that will stand the test of time. Please note that the artwork will arrive as a loose print. Additional matting and framing is required, but this also allows you the flexibility to further customize the finished piece to match your taste and existing decor. Upon request, I am happy to help locate a reputable framer who is local to you.
