The votes are counted and results are in, and it's time to move on to Round 2 of this year's March Madness tournament. Before we do, however, I want to express a sincere thank you to everyone who has taken part so far. All told, across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and email responses) there were nearly 700 votes cast in the first round pairings, with lots of additional insight and stories shared along the way. I wish I had more time to respond to everyone individually- and I've been trying as best I can, life's just kind of hectic right now- but please know how much I do appreciate all of the feedback that everyone has offered.
I do need to take a moment to congratulate Rita Burmeister, winner of the first round prize drawing for a $25 Josh Meier Photography gift certificate. Rita has always been a great supporter of my photography and writing, and she's definitely a deserving recipient! Congrats Rita, and to the rest of you (also very deserving) keep those votes coming... we'll draw for another gift certificate after Round 2.
